Cycle 1001 released!
January 14: Cycle 1001 is now available in the FMS Data section.
Each cycle costs 20 credits, independent on the number of addons/downloads you make during that cycle. We also offer an annual cycle package (13 cycles) for 200 credits - a 23% discount compared to purchasing each cycle individually. The annual cycle package can be used until the 13th cycle (counted from the current cycle at the time of purchase), as long as you keep your account - even if, at a later stage, your account balance is zero or in the event your credits expire.
New airport and enroute charts!
December 2: The airport charts and enroute charts available for download via the nDAC software have now been updated. The AUG09 revision has been replaced by the NOV09 revision (batch #18). More information about the coverage can be found in our nDAC coverage pages.
The number of airport charts are now 25,959 (previously 25,656), in a total of 1,286 airports. The new and revised airport charts are distributed over 321 airports worldwide.
Including this expansion of the coverage there are 94 updated enroute charts in total (almost two thirds of the global coverage). The majority of the enroute charts covering Europe, Asia, and North / South America have been updated.
Use the Quick Select function
All existing nDAC users will receive a reminder to download a new Airport Chart Index and a new Enroute Chart Index next time nDAC software is started. By updating the indices all new charts will be come visible and available for download. After the new indices are downloaded and installed the nDAC software will select all charts that need to be updated for you. If you would like to continue to update your charts in a really easy manner, just press the "Download Selected Items" button, once for each index tab, in the Download Manager as the airports and enroute charts are already selected for you.
Captain Sim 757 supported!
May 20: We are pleased to announce that we are now offering AIRAC cycle updates to Captain Sim 757. Users of this addon are encouraged to upgrade to version 4.3 to take advantage of these FMS Data updates. Cycle 0905 for Captain Sim 757 is available in the FMS Data section.
New Video Tutorials available in the Navigraph nDAC Learning Center
December 17: Navigraph is proud to announce a third set of video tutorials for direct download in the nDAC software. Eight tutorials have now been released, in addition to the 17 published previously. Each video teaches how to fly IFR approaches to various airports, including major hubs such as Los Angeles, Tokyo Narita, Sydney and Beijing. The video tutorials have been produced by VideoFlyRec, a Spanish video production company, using chart material provided by Navigraph. These eight new videos cover the following approaches:
- Berlin Tegel ILS-NDB-08 - A Boeing 737 performs an ILS NDB approach to RWY 08 at Berlin Tegel (EDDT).
- London City ILS-28 - An ATR 72-500 performs an ILS approach to RWY 28 at London City (EGLC).
- Calgary ILS-NDB-16 - An MD-80 performs an ILS NDB approach in snowfall to RWY 16 at Calgary (CYYC).
- Tokyo Narita ILS-34L - A Boeing 767 performs an ILS approach to RWY 34L at Tokyo Narita (RJAA).
- Los Angeles ILS-25L - A Boeing 767 performs an ILS approach to RWY 25L at Los Angeles International (KLAX).
- Rio de Janeiro (Charlie 8) ILS-10 - A Boeing 747 performs an ILS approach to RWY 10 after an electrical fire to RWY 10 at Rio de Janeiro (SBGL).
- Sydney ILS-16R - A Boeing 737 performs an ILS approach to RWY 16R at Sydney Kingsford Smith (YSSY).
- Beijing ILS-36L - A Boeing 737 performs a missed approach to RWY 36L at Beijing Capital (ZBAA).
Each video is approximately 8 minutes long in 640x480 pixel resolution (~40 MB), and costs 40 Navigraph credits to download. The account can be charged with a minimum of 100 credits for 10 EUR.
The videos are viewed directly in the nDAC software - no external media player is supported. The exact charts used in the videos can be downloaded separately as PDF documents from the Video Training section of the Learning Center / Online Contents tab in the nDAC software. They require the free Adobe Reader software for viewing and printing. The charts can also be downloaded and viewed in the nDAC software, but may have been updated since the production date of the video tutorial.
It is recommended to first upgrade to the latest nDAC version, 3.0.5.4 or later, before downloading video tutorials as it has been optimized for downloading larger files.

Level-D terminal procedures (SIDs/STARs) released!
July 31: After long and hard development work, we are proud to announce that the Level-D FMS Data now includes terminal procedures (SIDs/STARs)!
This is the first public version of the procedures. While we have spent much effort to eliminate bugs and anomalies, there might still be issues that needs our attention and correction. We have not been able to test every procedure at every airport, so we need your assistance in order to make the final improvements of the data quality. If you find any issues or anomalies when using the data, please post a report in the Level-D Terminal Procedures section of the Navigraph Support Forum.
Please be as detailed as possible, and include screen shots, error messages and other supplemental material if possible. Please make sure to use the search function or browse the forum before posting, in order to avoid duplicates of the same issue.
The terminal procedures are available as an option in the regular Level-D installer, which can be downloaded from the FMS Data section.
Two new addons supported
July 31: Two additional addons are now supported with FMS Data: TuneVNAV Descent Pro3 and Flight1 Super 80 Professional.
TuneVNAV Descent Pro3 is an FMC-like software which calculates the exact descent and approach speeds of a descending airplane, all the way to the runway. Flight1 Super 80 Professional, developed by Coolsky, is a complete aircraft and panel package which simulates the McDonnell Douglas MD-80.Each cycle costs 20 credits, independent on the number of addons/downloads you make during that cycle. New airport chart format in Navigraph nDAC
February 14: Starting from next chart revision, batch 11 expected end of FEB08, a new airport chart format will gradually be introduced in the nDAC software. The gradual change will first affect smaller European airports and by 2009 all airport charts are expected to adhere to the new format.
The change in format is an initiative taken by our data provider, European Aeronautical Group, in their ongoing work of improving and expanding their airport charts and Route Manual product.
Some notable changes in the new format are:
- New chart names
- Chart numbering including frame text
- Introduction of Communications Box on several chart types
- Enhanced symbology
- Improved presentation of altitudes
- Presentation of Take-off minima on aerodrome charts
- Depiction of landing minima
For a complete description of the new format, please download the new legend. This file is also available from inside the nDAC software by pressing the F1-key.
At this point we do not have the resources to answer questions relating aeronautical navigation or your familiarization to the new chart format. We recommend that you ask your fellow experienced flight simmers in the Aeronautical Charts thread of the Navigraph Support Forum.
Here are some quick facts that might answer your immediate questions:
- The rate of change is determined by how fast the engineers at European Aeronautical Group can convert the chart format. We can at this point not give any time indications as to when a certain airport is expected to change to the new format. We expect all airports to have changed format by 2009.
- The enroute charts are not affected by the new format.
- No update or modification of the nDAC software or your printer is necessary to accommodate for the new format.
- The price of an airport will not change. Downloading an airport will still be 2 credits.
- It is unfortunately not possible to see in the nDAC Download Manager tab which airports that are of the new format and which ones that are of the old before downloading a new airport.
- If you have downloaded an airport of the new format and you want to revert it to the old format you must restore the old format from your backup. (In general we recommend that you backup your current charts before updating to a new revision.)
What is nDAC?
nDAC (Navigraph Digital Aeronautical Charts) is the professional way to search, download and manage your approach and departure procedures, along with worldwide enroute charts. The nDAC software connects to a server where thousands of Instrument Approach Charts, Landing Charts, Ground Charts, Standard Arrival Routes (STAR), Standard Instrument Departure Routes (SID) and worldwide high/low altitude Enroute Charts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This is a unique product - at present no company provides the service of regularly updated charts available via a dedicated download interface to the flightsim community.
The viewer software is free and each airport is just a couple of cents each. It is this easy:
- Download nDAC.
- Launch nDAC and create a user account.
- Charge your user account with some credits.
- Search and select which airports to download.
- View, organize, print and... fly!
